Background
Para-Tipe was a brand of dry transfer letter (“pressure lettering” as they called it) made by Para-Tone, Inc.
Para-Tone Inc. was a manufacturer of acetate products active since the 1910s. Based in Chicago and later in La Grange, Illinois. Various products including Zip-A-Tone, Blu-Zip, Copy-Zip.
